Hi Folks,

Our August match is this Sunday, the 12th.

We had a good turnout in July along with some great weather. It got a little breezy toward the end, but didn’t affect the shooting.     Nick was our scope gun match winner after a shoot off with Dale Mayer.  Charlie Hughes was right there too with a 24.

I shot a 32 to become the iron sight match winner.   Jim McCrank and I both shot 10 pigs in the iron sight match, which were the only 10’s of the day.

Dale Mayer was the winner of the Revolver challenge with an actual and net score of 22. Nice shooting Dale.

Terry Riley had a 18 actual to net a 28 in the lever gun challenge to win that event.

It will be hot this weekend, so I thought I would give you a few ‘Arizona heat’ lines to work with:

·        “the trees are whistling for the dogs.”

·         ”the temperature drops below 95, you feel a bit chilly.”

·        a sad Arizonan once prayed, "I wish it would rain - not so much for me, cuz I've seen it -- but for my 7-year-old."

Make sure you bring plenty of water to stay hydrated.  We will get the match started right on schedule to beat the heat a bit.

Summer hours so practice starts at 8:00am and the match at 9:00am.

Hope to see you this Sunday.
