Hot Shots

Monthly Newsletter of the Paloma Ferrea Pistol Club, Inc. ~ http://www.irondove.net ~ May 9th., 2010

Hi Folks,
Well summer is certainly here, although the weatherman is predicting mid nineties for our match on Sunday.  Obviously bring plenty of water with you.

As you all know, practice is at 8:00am and the match will start at 9:00am sharp.  We will try to hustle along before the real heat sets in so we should be done by noon.

For those of you that were not there, you missed a very nice AZ State Match.  I still do not have the official results, but if I remember correctly the Paloma club did very well.  It was a great group of people and everyone enjoyed the shooting, the cookout, etc.

Dale Burke did a great job with the cookout,  Fred Paxia had the range working great, and Jess Pilcher helped out big time by calling the match for  two days.  Plus we had a number of other folks pitch in as well.

Our hats off to Joe and Maryls Duchene for all their work and also Ron Stryker and his wife Lorene.

We also gave away two great shooting boxes as special door prizes.  The boxes were made by Bev and Mugs' son and donated by Fred Paxia.

For those of you that feel like travelling a bit, Ron Stryker is hosting a Colorado and New Mexico State match at Raton the first week in Aug.  Here is a link to more info: http://www.asrpa.com/eventsmatches.html.

We may try an new approach to squading this Sunday....stay tuned.

See you at the match.
